Only I was hoping this "circle" might include some other members who have experienced using an 8mm lens.

It did a great job - but in 3-4 minutes I was able to replicate CO's results using the mesh warp tool and a bit of cloning. If you're using wide angle lenses frequently then the DxO app may be worth the investment.

Yes. Like the quote said, it works as advertised and does so very well. Sometimes, a single click is all that is needed. I do not have any lenses as wide as you asked about, so I really had nothing to add except for support of the Gene's statement.
