Canada/BC Mountains 04 - Whistler Mountain: Exploring the top and return on chair lift
With its 2182 m / 7160 ft, Whistler mountain does not have a particularly high altitude, however since Whistler Village is situated at the foot of the mountain at an altitude of 670 m / 2200 ft, Whistler Mountain does rise some 1512 m / 4960 ft from the valley floor and provides a pretty spectacular view. In this post, we look from a short distance at the easily accessible top of the mountain, and then enjoy the wide, as well as detailed views from the ride down on the "Peak Express" chairlift as well as the subsequent short walk back to the Roundhouse lodge, where we arrived initially on the Whistler Village Gondola. Very close-by is the departure point for the Peak 2 Peak Gondola, which I will cover in tomorrow's post.

Excellent imagery of a very scenic place. Great work, Joe.
Alta Lake is beautiful. #6 is fascinating. #8 is a beautiful photo of the scenery. BC certainly has it all!

Thank you Ellen, yes, I do like the composition of #6 as well, it was just sort of gliding by underneath our chair! I also love #8, really should take the time to clone out those wires, but there is so little time and I don't really want to spend it on my older pictures.
