Yellowstone for Jederick! Headed to Lamar Valley from Mammoth.
We kicked around the Hellroaring Overlook and here's a little series I took one morning on the way to the Yellowstone Picnic Area Trail as we crossed the Yellowstone River headed toward Lamar Valley. The low thin cloud appears in each shot. I'll do a series on the trail another time. The download of the junction shot is pretty revealing.

Outstanding shots and vistas 🎯🎯🎯
Beautiful shots of beautiful country!
Love it, nicely done Dave...you captured all the best views on this hike!! Now I'm anxious to get back there and get up to Trout Lake!
Got a text msg. from my wife's nephew last night...he is hiking in YNP and sending cell phone photos. An adventurous kid, he has hiked the Continental Divide Trail from Canada to Mexico, Pacific Crest Trail, Appalachian Trial and a few others I'm forgetting. While visiting up earlier this month, he hiked the 100 mile Utah Highline Trail in four days. Isn't it great to be young!!!

LOL, I know you've been busy! Yeah, the good hiking days have passed me by, but I fought hard the past couple years. I'm putting together a set of the Picnic trail that looks promising and maybe a couple from Wrecker out to the Lamar/Yellowstone Confluence. When you do Trout Lake, it's not bad to hit Buck Lake and return to the trailhead on the upper level above Trout. Nice to hear from you! BTW, we again caught the Harlequin Ducks at LeHardy.
Thank you to all who have commented! If you ever head that way, holler!

Great scenic set, Dave.
I hate to say it, but you had to be there to truly enjoy!

Nice series.
Thank you much! It helps me to remember that morning drive as we worked toward our favorite place in the park, Lamar Valley.
