I like the design, getting rid of those awkward rods usually found on bellows. However I suspect a simple helicoid would provide a more robust form of adjustable extension. Screw mount helicoids in a range of sizes are readily found on e-bay often for under $20.

Thanks to both of you for the replies. I have used the helicoids several times in the creation of a "new" lens using older lens components. I couldn't find the model number so I wasn't finding the correct item on eBay. I'm all set now!
