I got my pretty peppers at the Farmer's market and decided I wanted to make kabobs. I got cherry tomatoes in a variety of colors too and the onion. I think I spent a total of $5 on veggies.
I go to my butcher store and it was my lucky day again. I told my butcher what I was going to make. He said he just got done slicing the whole tenderloin into steaks and he would sell me the ends for $11.99/lb. Of course I said how much do you have. I spent $18 and came home with enough tenderloin for two meals! The rest in vacuumed sealed and in the freezer. He normally sells his tenderloin steaks at $17.99/lb
I put my meat and veggies on separate skewers, just because I like it that way. I made pan fried potatoes too. Of course I go my potatoes at the FM. Served also with my homemade bread.
The most expensive thing on our menu tonight was the beer. The empty glass but a new bottle.
Great set Jill and a very inviting menu a first class dinner at a very reasonable price and supportive of the local markets to boot
Thanks for the post

Thank you for the comment, Joe. I appreciate it!
Excellent set, Jill. BTW you might want to substitute something like a Grimbergen Dark in place of the blonde.

I've heard of and seen Duvel but don't remember if I ever had any. Now if you had picked a Chimay, that brings back fond memories.....😊

LOL. I appreciate the comment, Mike. I am not a dark beer fan.
