Military Aviation Museum, Virginia Beach Part 2

Again for you aviation buffs....the previous post of this museum was posted the other day was centered on WW I era aircraft. There are three hangers on this museum's site, the WWI hanger, built to specs as in Europe and was shown in the previous post. The main hanger where the latest/these aircraft reside. There are currently no jet aircraft on display but its probably in the works. There is also a maintenance and refurbishment hangar where new aircraft are being refurbished. I did see a PBY Catalina that was being refurbished and I'm sure it'll be flying soon.

The main thing is that ALL THESE AIRCRAFT ARE FLYABLE AND THEY DO FLY....Cheers

Yes it is Susan, in fact they give rides, primarily in the yellow Stearman bi-plane in the next to last photo and its quite popular....Cheers

I like that one. I worked for a structural engineer in Woodbury, CT who was a fighter pilot in Europe in WWII. He bought himself a Stearman that was painted in the original Navy trainer colors.

When he got to about 85 his younger wife made him quit flying and sell it.
