What lenses, are you sure the Canon lenses are for EOS bodies and can be used on a digital camera? Are you looking for something 'good' for sports, especially, or just general? Do you want to match to prior Nikon DSLRs? If yes, which?

My lenses will fit all canon Dslr cameras. I have a Nikon D 810 I want nothing in that price range , just something to experiment with

Alas, $500 won't buy that much for a new model. Pure experiment would be anything in the Rebel line. The higher the number, the newer the model, such as T3 > T5 >T6. Those models with an 'i' in the name are slightly more advanced over the more bare-bones without an 'i' like T5i, T8i, etc. The Rebel models correspond to the Nikon D3xxx line. Those 'i' versions might fit to the Nikon D5xxx line, but Canon and Nikon don't compete exactly head-to-head on these models. The 2-digit numbers like 60D / 77D / 80D / 90D match more directly to the Nikon D7xxxx line.

KEH has an SL2 in the $500 range, a 24MP cropped-sensor body in a super-small physical package. If you search, you'll see some EOS full-frame models appearing in the $500 range, such as the original EOS 5D or 5DII, but these only mount the full-frame EF lenses, not both EF / EF-S lenses.

I can hardly tell you how happy I am with my Canon M50. It is mirrorless and with an adapter can use EF/ES lenses. Small compact and easy to use.

Look here (Canon USA refurbished=same warranty as NIB), there are several, even some with lenses that are $500 and below:
https://shop.usa.canon.com/shop/en/catalog/cameras/refurbished-eos-interchangeable-lens-cameras#facet:&productBeginIndex:0&orderBy:11&pageView:grid&pageSize:&

Check back daily if you want one listed as "out of stock" since in the factory refurbished stock comes and goes. Most of them are open box or stock from stores that went out of business, used at camera exhibits, demo models etc. And remember the "M" series uses a different mount than other Canon cameras and needs an adapter to use most Canon lenses. There are no full frame here at your price, all are either M's or crop sensor and a Canon crop sensor can use both the EF-S lenses made for them or the EF lenses made for FF. I own both FF and crop sensor bodies and only buy the EF lenses. I did buy some EF-S lenses for my wife and daughter since they tend to be smaller and lighter - they have one crop sensor body each so no problem with them not being able to put those EF-S lenses on a FF body. (they literally will not mount-made that way)

Many people trust them more than NIB because they get a complete inspection, more than on the assembly line and repairs or tune ups if needed. I have purchased a couple of refurbished cameras and lenses from Canon and they were all great products.

Plenty out there for $200-300 on ebay, but for more of a sure thing, hard to beat the previously mentioned Canon refurbished site.

I have a Canon t2i outfit that is in excellent shape, but too heavy for me (I am 81 y/o, and my travelling days are behind me). It has a Canon 18-135 STM lens and 50mm f1.8 Yongnuo lens. It comes with all front, rear and body caps, plus UV filters for each lens, several batteries and chargers, a wide Sony strap, and your choice of several gadget bags.
I will let it go for $350, buyer pays shipping.

Go to KEH.com and look at their used offerings. Older DSLR cameras will work just fine and take great photos. They also don't cost an arm and a leg. (:

I would look in the 5D lll or 20/30 D used with not to much shutter count @ b&h, Adorama or whoever. The 810 is an incredible body or let me say this I used lower end body way to long to know a lots of flaws and limitations......
Like the tokina 100mm on the 810 is not a problem but on the 7100 the focus never finds sharpness. Just saying
