President Barack Obama let out 15 detainees from Guantanamo Bay, all of whom were seasoned terrorists.

According to the Department of Defense’s detainee records and The New York Times Guantanamo Bay Docket, the detainees ranged from former Usama Bin-Laden bodyguards, frontline soldiers who shot at U.S. troops and bomb-making experts.

Mahmud Abd Al Aziz al-Mujahid didn’t obtain his high school diploma until age 22. Afterward, the only job he could get was a three-month stint at a diaper factory, before turning to Islamic study. Mujahid traveled to Afghanistan to continue his studies and ended up as a bodyguard to Bin-Laden. Mujahid’s DOD review notes he was with Bin-Laden at the Battle for Tora Bora and had “knowledge of planned terrorist attacks.”

Abd al-Muhsin Abd al-Rab Salih al-Busi, also known as Abdul al Saleh, was a Yemeni National Police officer who was radicalized in a local Yemeni mosque. He decided to travel to Afghanistan to attend “Jihad School” and became a full-fledged member of al-Qaida. Busi’s review notes he “fought for 6 months on the front-lines” against the U.S.-backed forces and “openly called for violent actions” continuing “including actions specifically targeting Christians and Jews.”

Zahar Omar Hamis bin Hamdoun traveled to Afghanistan in 1999. Hamdoun’s DOD review regards him as a “veteran Jihadist who participated in hostilities against U.S. and Coalition forces in Afghanistan.” Worse Hamdoun is known to have received advanced weapons and explosives training at an al-Qaida camp, and had the phone number of 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed on him when captured.

Obaidullah was drafted into the Taliban army in August 2001 and became taken with radical islamic ideology. New Hampshire Senator Kelly Ayotte noted in a statement on Monday that he, “joined an al Qaeda improvised explosive device (IED) cell that targeted coalition forces in Afghanistan.” He was then, “captured by U.S. Special Forces during a raid at his compound with 23 anti-tank landmines as well as a notebook containing electronic and detonator schematics.”
