Sounds dicey. Yeah, I try to always let prudence dictate the hiking decisions, but sometimes you can't avoid an unfriendly situation. I remember hiking up between two mountains and upon reaching the top of the saddle joining the two, there was a minor thunderstorm on the other side. Fortunately I was well below either summit so hunkered down in my rain gear to wait it out. However, I did place my metal hiking poles a good distance away from me just in case.

I essentially went right for the b&w version, so didn't have a color version to post. However, I played around a little bit this afternoon and made this one. Yep, went back to the b&w, and the color version is MUCH better!
