I read about this yesterday. Pretty amazing. If her cat had not alerted people, she could have been down in that stream for a long time.

We have three furry felines. Did you know that cats don't meow to other cats? They only meow to people.

According to zoologist boffins originally
wild cats "adopted" humans, rather than
humans adopting or making pets out of cats.

A cat or cats seeking food/shelter approached human/s.

I am not sure that is actually correct, or my cat is just "different". She meows at animals on TV, and occasionally at my ferrets when they are running around the room.
