In 2007 I bought a Nikon D200 as a replacement for a D70 which was my first digital camera. My Father-in-Law knew I was excited to use it and suggested we go to one of his favorite places in Weehawken which has a great view of the NYC Skyline. We arrived in late afternoon on an almost perfect day, and I took lots of shots. The D200 was a great camera for it's time, but it wasn't the best in low light. There are quite a few areas for improvement, and this image could really benefit from your editing.

The SOOC jpg is posted here and the raw image can be downloaded by copying and pasting this link in your browser: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ymcv0eo737czr50/DSC_2750.NEF?dl=0

Feel free to download this image to your computer. Then you can edit it any way that you think is an improvement. Composites, black and white conversions, textures, sky swaps, inverted images, solarization, or whatever else you think will improve the photo are acceptable techniques for your edit. When you are finished, post your edit in this thread. Erich is on vacation, so edits will be accepted until Thursday, Sept. 2nd. No edits will be accepted after that time because we will begin voting then. Thank you for your efforts and your participation.

OK, here's the skyline, as it might have been rendered by Leroy Neiman.

I’m guessing this is supposed to be a sunset. If it is, it’s beautiful! But wouldn’t the setting sun be behind the photographer in this location?

I haven't participated in one of these challenges for quite a while but I was captivated by this cityscape!

Bill mentioned to me he used the DxO PureRAW on the last challenge and I could download for a free 30 day trial. I used the trial version on his Raw file for this edit. I got more detail than I could have with Photoshop.
Something else that I found when I used photoshop's sky replacement I lost all the fine antennas and other details at the top of the buildings. I switched and used Luminar 4 using their sky replacement and keeps all the fine details, much better job. The rest of the edits were done using Photoshop CC
