I use PSE 14, which does not have the D850 ACR profile.

Might anyone have a link to what the later ACR profile is?

Thanks much.

Given the low cost of PSE, perhaps you should consider getting the 2021 version which will import 850 RAW files.

ACR does not have a profile, just a version.

If your software is too old for and the newest ACR does not work, time to upgrade.

Yes, upgrade, but I'm old, and tired of the upgrades so quickly confounding my habits. (See frowning face here.)

Dangnabit.

Tired of upgrades...and you shoot with a D850? Interesting...

My commercial and hobbyist photography goes back to the 1950s. Leaving the darkroom for digital was an epiphany, for both commercial and hobby.

For some years, tech change was slow, and my brain was faster. Now, however, the reverse controls my life.

Will I ever be able to conquer the D850? Likely not, but where there's life, there's ....

Very nice photo.

I'm 'old' as well, but I have never, so far, let age slow me down from learning new things. I too have an 850 and I do keep the manual (digital) handy. Frankly, most of the issues aren't with the camera, but its menu structure. I do wish they would keep the same layout (although it isn't all that different from my 750), but the names they give features seem to change some.

In the 750 saved settings are U1 and U2. In the 850 its Photo Shooting Menu Bank and Extended Banks and then there is Custom Settings Bank, but none seem to operate like U1 or U2.

Good Luck on your ACR quest...

And I too am an "old" guy and shoot studio with an 850. Rather than "conquering" it, maybe just become pals? Once you upgrade your ACR you don't have to mess with it again.

Excellent point! Wish I had said it. Short and to the point.
