Wow! So just how "realistic" will that be if one was to race down to the store for a pair of 3d glasses? (asking for a friend).

I believe that a 3D viewer should answer your question. My opinion may not be that of theirs. I will say that for the several hundred I have posted here there are approximately 40+ who are constant viewers.
