Some people never learn...
Hello Hoggers... It's me again. I haven't posted anything for a while, mainly because I was busy learning the ins and outs of the Sony A7c which I bought after a lot of thought. It was just off the Sony new products list in November and I have had just taken a bit over 9000 shots when the Tamron E 105-500 mm was announced. So I did it again - bought something which I had only seen a few reviews of.
I have had the 105-500mm out and about and have been using it for about a week. The enclosed "Bird on a Stick" and Birds on or around water were about 10% of the original full-frame images. This lens/camera combination work well for me. Close focus at 105mm and 500mm is excellent, Tamron has implemented 3 different vibration compensation algorithms, the auto-focus and subject-following work very well. The only down side is the minimum aperture, but so far I have had no issues hand-holding and on the monopod or a light tripod the VC seems to do the trick nicely, so it is a keeper for me.
I am using the lens compensation data for the Tamron 100 - 500 lens, with a tiny manual tweak which also works well for me pending software presets being made available.
I have also been trying ON1 NoNoise AI. The workflow is a bit tedious at the moment, hopefully they will implement it into the ON1 package soon.
I will limit the posts to 10, lke a good boy. Take care, everyone, and stay safe. It's still a crazy world out there!
That combo is doing well for you.

Welcome back! You are making that gear combination look good. I also like my A7c and tend to use it with my long lens.
Looks like money well spent.
Excellent shots - you learned your new combo well!
Great variety and quality shots!
