Black Point Drive...again

We took a ride over the Black Point drive on Merritt Island, FL this morning. I guess the second Tuesday in August is a holiday for the wildlife. We saw hardly any and almost none posed for us. It is a beautiful drive none-the-less. We stopped at the only viewing platform and parked our elbows on the rail. The water stirred about a hundred feet away and a small (i.e., six foot) alligator swam over to us. Then he stopped just in front of us and looked up with sad eyes. I’ll swear it was begging. I was sorry I had neglected to bring a dead rat with me. However, there was a sign back at headquarters saying not to feed the wildlife so I suppose I can be excused

Rich. Try Viera Wetlands. It's at the end of Wickham Road. Carol Wilson told me about it & I was very satisfied. Went there twice & got great photos of alligators & birds. You can either walk or drive a car. People do both. Both times I walked. Don't know when I'll get back there cause of health reasons but I can't wait. Also Brevard Zoo has plenty of animal even though it's not as big as Zoo Miami or Bush Gardens. There are other area around the State that are for tourists to see alligators & other animals. Contact Carol Wilson on here. She can give you other places too. Happy shooting. Michael.

Thanks, Mike. I'll try it. I don't walk much any more but my son will drive me.
