While waiting for a dragonfly to buzz by I heard these crows making an unholy racket. They landed and continued their fight. Caught a few decent shots. The birds were up in a 40 ft tree, about 60 feet away from me.
D850, 500pF, 1/2500, f 8, ISO 560, no EC or CPL-handheld! Some cropping and pp necessary to provide a decent view.
I believe this is a peer group of this year's hatchlings. We have a bumper crop of young birds this year. May be due to our placing water out for the little guys.
We see one bird haranguing the others, who reject the premise and start fighting! Fun watch, difficult to photograph.
Download and enjoy!
Another excellent set, Tim!

Thanx! Fun especially as the dragonflies were not flying!

Thanx for viewing. Fun to watch but their advantage is gang tactics. They eat many species of song bird hatchlings. Good thing because we are overloaded with little birds. Things seem out of balance weather-wise. The damn wildfire smoke is back. Makes the sunlight orange.
