Great images. While it is great and even necessary, to have the latest and greatest equipment, sometimes it is fun just to go retro and enjoy some old school photography. Thanks for sharing. I really liked the image of the dog. Is he/she yours or just a willing subject?

Hello All,

A few weeks ago I posted a question about using the plastic Holga 120 camera. I'd read that light leaks could be a problem so wondered whether or not to cover it with black electrical tape to prevent this. I got suggestions to just shoot without the tape, which I did. I kept the loaded camera in a bag between shots to protect it as best I could.

Here are a few shots, taken with Ilford HP5 400 speed B&W film. There were minimal adjustments, mainly slightly increasing contrast and increasing highlight areas, except my dog given strong afternoon light. No sharpening or noise reduction. I like the interesting "toy" camera! As those of you who are shooting film have said, you really have to think before pressing the shutter, a good exercise in thoughtful shooting, especially with only 12 shots on the roll.

Thanks to all for earlier input.

Hi RodeoMan. Thanks for your comments on the Holga photos. And of course, everyone likes nice comments about their dog. Roxie is a smart, patient subject. She knows many commands so this was easy for her.

I have a 120 as well as a 35mm. I haven't used the 120 yet, but I have used the 35mm several times.

Nice captures
