Usually, I prefer fast shutter speeds when I work on sports or action photography.
Few weeks ago, I went to Bradley Beach in NJ, USA just few hours before the anticipated thunder storms, and took the waves hitting rocks at a fast shutter speed, with ISO being AUTO.
First one: 1/8000 sec. f/5.6 55mm, ISO - 14368 (didn't like maybe due to high ISO)
Second one: 1/8000 sec. f/5.6 46mm, ISO - 11404 (didn't like maybe due to high ISO)
Third One: 1/8000 sec. f/5.6 175mm ISO - 5000
I want to try again (during this hurricane season), with ISO fixed at 100 and fast shutter speeds. Did anyone tried it earlier?
Have you tried a slow shutter speed with camera on a tripod?
Yes the last tells a story
Nice shots. Slow speeds “blur” the water. Sometimes a nice effect…
Have fun 🤩

I missed it, what's the story?

I like the last one best. No fan of slow speed water shots with the lack of definition
You should try a slower shutter. 8000 is faster than you need to freeze water. 2000 would do it and you could lower noise for sharper. Images.
Something doesn't seem right in your shots.
First, you didn't stop the action at those high shutter speeds and. Second there is no way you need that high of an ISO in the daytime with those low F-stops.

45000 posts and you can’t see the story? 😄
Of course, I will post that soon

Also, if you click on the box store original before pressing add attachment, the readers can download a much higher resolution picture so they can better evaluate the pic.
I like to use fast shutter speeds at times but 8000 is way too fast for what you were photographing. Nice compositions, though.

You might try looking at photos of crashing waves on a photo website like flickr. You will see that no one uses a shutter speed 1/8000. Also you probably want to have more DOF so a narrower f stop (ie. f/11 or even f/13). Also not sure if you have VR on? At such a high shutter speed that you are using, VR can make the photo less sharp. one of many examples:
