15 minutes both sides of sunrise, East River esplanade, NYC

With a totally cloudless sky, I looked elsewhere for subjects on my dawn walk.
Photos in order:
1. The school next to me had built out over the Esplanade as a play area. This provides shelter for the unfortunates.
2. Dawn hit the windows with a reflection of the RFK bridge.
3. A sailboat under power from east of the RFK bridge on the hour long trip to lower NY bay and the Atlantic Ocean.
4. An umbrella probably gives a sense of privacy to the sleeper.
5. I just liked the geometry in this one.
6 & 7. Someone told me this red-tail was a 2 minute walk back. I took a bunch of shots, holding my increasingly heavier camera with a 24-105 zoom to my eye for 20 minutes or more, hoping for flight. Maybe next time.

I am a rank amateur, but I liked #5…the elongation in your shadow draws the eye into the shot.

The benefit of being an insomniac - great shots that many people never have the opportunity to shoot.

More examples of your good eye and execution! Given the jesses on the falcon you might want to look at the lost and found notices.
