no idea how you made this lass, but it is wonderful.

I visited the American Air Power Museum on Long Island a number of years ago. They told of these women that would deliver the aircraft. (I'd never heard of them before!) Despite the fact that we were in a war, these women would face tremendous prejudice - including sugar put in their planes' fuel tanks!
My hat's off to them all. 👏

Thanks, I saw a documentry once and it mentioned this happening, appalling!
Fabulous, like all of the models that you have posted. I have loved all your past posts. I would love to see a series showing your work progressing, i.e., a beginning, middle and finished photo.
This model is exceptional. I used to leave my car models white and left glue on them...of course I was eight at the time. You do nice work.

A 1/16th scale figure called "Attagirl" by Life Miniatures, based on the WW2 A.T.A ferry pilot Maureen Dunlop. The last photo is Maureen herself and the Barracuda aircraft she was to deliver!

Kiwis have an aviation hero Jean Batten first solo pilot UK to NZ etc and I think she wanted to be a ferry pilot, and applied but was rejected.
