Merlin says its either a meadowlark or a Carolina Wren.
It appears to be a female eastern meadowlark.
My first thought was Meadowlark, but both Eastern and Western have some yellow markings that should be at least partly visible in the photo. Have a few good Meadowlark photos. Got me stumped.
Female Red-winged Blackbird.

Dunno, but it's a fine subject 🌀👁️🌀
Thank you all for your suggestions. I looked at each and have decided to go with Eastern Meadowlark; I knew I should have asked the bird!!
It's a fine image of a female Red-winged Blackbird.
Taking another look, maybe it is a red-winged Blackbird.

I agree with rwilson1942, a female RWBB.
Merlin Bird ID is great, but it occasionally can go off the rails, depending on the photo.
This photo is excellent, and a screenshot of the photo inputted to Merlin Bird ID did ID as a RWBB.

Howard, both the Eastern and Western Meadowlark, male and female would show distinctive yellow markings above and below their bills. The bird you have shared with us is a female Red Wing Blackbird.
