I spent some time over the weekend at a gathering of dogs with their humans. My wife is very involved is the rescue of Shiba Inu breed dogs. If you ever decide to get a dog of any breed, check first with your local rescue. Of course I took some photos.
Good photos, attractive dogs. One of the comparatively few breeds I have never met.
Nice photos of Shiba kens, my wife had one when she was living in Okinawa.
I was involved in dogs in both shows and field trials for many years. I'm 90 now and have slowed down some but always stayed away from the more "exotic" breeds. :-) I'm still trialing a few pointers with George Tracy and a spaniel or two with Jim Karlovec.
I was involved in Beagles and Spaniels (Eng Cockers mostly and a few field Springers back in the day. Both my father [Harry H "Turk" Blaine] and his brother [Jim Blaine] hunted and trialed ESS.) Harry
Beautiful shots. I know nothing about the breed. Guess I'll have to Google it.
