Went to an A2A workshop in VA Beach and had an opportunity to photograph some classics. I went really looking forward to the Wildcat and Avenger, but came away with the Spitfire and ME 109 as my favorites. The Catalina was pretty cool but tough to beat the fighters!

What a wonderful set. Some of the aircraft that people we knew flew in WW II. That's World War Two, not World War Eleven.

Because they are used a lot in text books and especially history texts I used to give all my classes a one day lesson on Roman Numerals with a handout to keep.

Incredible shots of some of the most incredible planes still flying! Thank you so much for sharing.

Nice images! Sounds like a fun workshop. What were you shooting from? From the look of the similar backgrounds I'm assuming a helo? Depending on your locale, did you catch any of the "Bugs" going in/out of KNTU? (Oceana)
