Rock a bye baby...
My Grandson loves rocks. I have posted other photos of some of the rocks we have bought for him. He especially likes polished stones. While in Virginia City, Nevada I spotted these rocks in the window of a rock store. The store was closed so I couldn't buy any so I took a photo to send to him. He is 5 years old so any rocks that are shiny or unique have meaning to him. He is a chip off the old Grandpa! I had a great rock collection as a kid. That is, until my Mom threw them away. Sorry the photo is a bit soft, I was shooting through a plate glass window and the place was poorly lit. I had to bounce a SB-400 flash off the curtains.
Nikon D850 and Nikkor 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6
My granddaughter loves rocks too. What is it about them rocks?

What a coincidence... my wife loves sparklies too! Except her bling is really pricey! Kind of like camera equipment. LOL

They're beautiful 🌀💢🌀 I too collected as a kid and even did lapidary. I should have stuck to it.

Joe funnyyou mentionit. I am thinking I might buy a rock tumbler and saw/buffing wheel to teach Grandson. I started him a coin collection as well. Lessons. 😀😀😀
