Woodland Trail Walk

I was walking a very quiet, heavily forested woodland trail early in the morning recently. It's a trail I walk Monday through Friday and I always have a camera with me. I've gotten shots of herons and ducks but up until now I had not seen any deer. I was some distance from these two deer but was able to get a shot using my Nikon P900. With it's long distance capability I was able to get a couple of photos. This was the better of the two. Although I was not that close, the one deer did look in my direction. They both dashed away before I was able to get any more shots.
