Nice shots. Well done. Did you use a sharpen as well as the denoise program? Surprised to not see the antennae or hairs around the head/thorax.

Two fine captures. The first has a different look than most I've seen, can't put my finger on the difference. Maybe something in post?

Hey Paul,
No, I did not use any sharpen in P.P. for either one, but I did use DeNoise in the first photo tho.

Not sure as to what kind it is, I do see them rather frequently in this area. The only P.P. I did to it was crop and, also ran it thru Topaz Denoise.
Going to attach the original photo, with nothing done to it except converted from RAW to JPEG.

Thanks! For some reason it really snaps and is sharply delineated, and separated from the background almost as if it is outlined. A very good dragon shot.

They are both males. The first is an Eastern Pondhawk (Erythemis simplicicollis) and the second Ode is a Slaty Skimmer (Libellula incesta). Both are great shots. Well done.
