Outriggers are constantly going up and down the coast of North Kaanapali Beach on Maui. This one came the closest and was good enough for my 55-250mm lens on my T2i. I like this photo as it contrasts the rowing experience of the guides and the tourists while illustrating the powerful combination of yellow on blue.

I believe yellow is a complementary color to blue, for an inherent color contrast.

Exactly! Yes, and for those still learning, this is part of the attraction to early evening blue hour shots with incandescent city lights.
