I don't think I've ever seen this color sunrise before.
Unfortunately, it may get more common.
Oie.
Hazy here, but not that hazy!

Wow, they talked about that on the news that the smoke crossed the nation. I'm in California but not too near any of the Western wildfires but the air quality here must still be bad since I have been coughing and my throat is irritated. Seems something is wrong even here at the Beach.
Welcome to our summer world, sorry it got that far.

I'll be out there (Capitol Reef and Arches) in two weeks. Figure you guys need some sympathetic company.

In Chicago last evening the sunset was that color also.

You are going to two great places. Plan to get up very early if you want photos without people.

I have no problem getting up before dawn, and have engaged a guide for a full day-dawn to dark-for Capital Reef.
Please use private email if you have any suggestions for either, or even favorite restaurants, etc.

That sunrise effect due to all the smoke at high levels from all the wild fires on the west coast.
I think we had better get used to it.

It was terrible here in NY State on Tuesday. The Air Quality Index in Manhattan was said to be 175, but I read that in Syracuse NY it was even worse, 261 which is listed as dangerous for anyone, even healthy people.
When I left the house around noon, I thought I could actually smell smoke, but thought it was my imagination, as I had heard about the smoke making its way East. I made a few stops, one 10 miles from home, and could smell smoke there to.

In China's large cities, you would not see the buildings. Their pollution is a big problem.
