The current year minus the age usually reveals the birth year.
If the birth day has passed.
If not you, are not as old as you think.

Ahm havin’ hic a reeeeeely hic hard time buuuuuurp gettin’ shhhheventy beers down thishhh morning!!! Belllllch!
But it worked!!
Of course it worked. Nothing mystical here. 80 plus 40 is 120. Note the last two digits: 20 the same as the last two digits of the year of your last birthday (for those who haven't yet had one this year.) Subtract your age from the year of your last birthday and you will ALWAYS get the year you were born.
I'm 85 minus 80 equal 5 minus 40 equal 1935. correct.

120 - 85 = 35 (1935). Nope! Born in 1936.

It is one year off if you have already had your birthday this year.
Am I supposed to drink the 80 beers before doing the math? Maybe that’s why I keep getting different results

There seems to be 1,900 year error.
No. It was off by one year.

I think just after 8 or 10 beers you could tell me the year I was born and I would agree it would be correct!
