I used a small tripod on a rock to capture this view of the blowhole on Maui’s north shore at high tide. It was a warm day with a steady tropical breeze.

Nice scene -- wish I could be there.
Lots of different crops possible. This is mine.
.
Neat scene....would love to visit someday!
Kind of like to include bird & make people more part of the scene.
Thank you for the opportunity.
Thank you Craig for a very challenging image. One has to think is there an interesting part of the picture that should be enhanced and if so how much area to include. I did my edit before looking at any other edits.
I did this one twice. First one was a close up of the blow hole and people then I thought we need to see more of the surrounding environment. When cropping closer I noticed the water from the blow hole was starting to bit map. I applied a motion blur softening the water without changing its character.
Thanks for the image. I think the subject is really the blowhole. So I cropped in tighter to bring it to the forefront. The only issue was to add info to the clipped highlights in the spray.
I went for a crop to include the party pooper that is walking away from the group. He is in the lower left of the picture.
I lent some thought to somehow including the bird in the lower right of the original picture but in order to do so, I would have to have selected it and moved it to a new location. I decided not to do that.
Well, I did a version. Unfortunately, I cannot get it to upload. I've tried six times - keep making it smaller and smaller, but it still won't go. The last attempt I had it down to a little over 3 MG, and it still stalled. I thought this site was supposed to accept up to 20 MG images! I had this same difficulty the last time I tried to participate.
If making it smaller worked the last time you can go smaller than 3MB. Anything between 1 and 2 MB will be sufficient.
I'll try one more time to do this. I wanted to take out the people, but figured I'd screw it up trying.
Nice image - here's my view a little later in the day:
