Recently purchased a Xerox B205 printer, had a problem with it printing a Xerox sent me a new replacement printer under factory warranty. Now I am having a problem getting the scanner to work. Seems the drivers they sent me for the printer do not work with this new machine, they work for the old unit but not for the new one. Have called Xerox and spent 4 hours trying to get this problem taken care of and still have not got this problem taken care of. Went to the Xerox website and downloaded the drivers for the scanner and still the drivers can not locate the printer,. Do not know if Xerox changed the drivers and have not installed the new drivers on the website to correct this problem that t hey have sent me with there replacement printer, I really do not know what is going on. Have anyone else experienced this problem with the Xerox B205 Laser Printer/Scanner and got the scanner to work using the Xerox drivers. I can get the scanner to work using the Microsoft drivers but not the Xerox driver!

What is the issue with using the Microsoft default drivers vs the Xerox ones?

Found out after talking with Xerox Tech support that there is nothing they are going to do about this problem. The new drivers I need to correct this problem we have downloaded and Microsoft will not allow it into there Windows 10 OS. So the only way I can scan is to mainly do it from the front of the printer to the computer or go ahead and purchase a new computer and then trying to install it again and see what happens.
