Lexar 128GB Professional Memory Card

I am thinking about getting a Lexar 128GB Professional 1667x UHS SDXC Memory Card to use for shooting 4K video in my Sony DSC - RX10 IV Bridge camera. After reading some of the reviews there are some bad reviews on these cards and I would like to get your feedback if you have used theses cards and have experienced any problems with them. Also would you prefer a Sandisk card over a Lexar card for shooting 4K video and if so which Sandisk card would you use?
Thanks for your input.

Don't purchase from Amazon, a lot of the memory card products sold there are counterfeit. I only buy from a local camera store or someplace like B&H. I've never had an issue with Lexar memory.

I have used the SanDisk extreme pro and the Lexar. I have never had a problem with either. I have purchased them at Best Buy and from Amazon when BB didn’t have what I wanted. All worked as expected. Just received a new 128 GB SanDisk extreme pro from Amazon today.
Have not used it yet, but I expect it to be fine.

Buying "FROM" Amazon is not the same as buying "THROUGH" Amazon. Amazon is a portal for many third party vendors. If you see 'Sold BY' Amazon you should have no issues. That is not the same as 'Shipped by Amazon' - 'Sold by XYZ'.

You do have to read before ordering. You don't want to see something like this, unless you know who the vendor is.

Secure transaction

Ships from Amazon
Sold by fantaseal

Keep in mind that there are some good vendors who sell through Amazon. Adorama is one that I see from time to time.

Don't even think about Lexar...
I lost 2 cards worth of photos with the Lexar professional ones
Only Sandisk from reputable Photo store

When one person has 2 bad cards I think either the got counterfeit cards, or they screwed up.

I have Lexar SD, XQD, and CF cards. I have never lost a single photo.

My use of Lexar products goes back to my days with a D1x.

I also have SanDisk CF and SD cards even a CF format 4GB Hitachi Microdrive.

And although I never lost a photo, I have deleted quite a few at the end of the day when I review what's on the card.

Bought bogus Lexar from Amazon before. Never again. No negatives about Lexar.

Remember that Lexar used to be owned by Micron and when that was the case, Lexar memory cards were considered premiere devices. Micron sold the Lexar name to a Chinese company and for a fairly long period of time the quality of the Lexar memory cards was very suspect. I'm not sure about the reliability of the
Lexar cards today. I would be suspicious.

The local camera stores are the LAST place I'd trust! These stores are constantly opening, shutting down a few months later, and always run by very shady characters. Who knows where they get their supplies from.

If you lived in New York City instead of Philadelphia, B&H could be your local camera store.

B&H still is my local camera store, even if I don't live in NYC.

Well I agree with What The others Have said in as much as one Should Deal with an Established Vendor whenever Possible? And That Though Amazon is A Major Vendor/ retailer To be Sure? There's quite a Diffrernce between Shipped by and Sold By Amazon !!! ? If buying From Amazon i would look for The sold By Amazon information !!! As Far as Lexar Cards or SanDisk? I don't think You could Go Wrong with Either as long as their Capacity and Speed meet your Requirements and Needs! I have used Both in various Capacities and find them Excellent !!! Thougj I don't Do much Video work !!! Best advice ? Stay with established Vendors who stand by their products !!!, stay with Reputable Brands SANDISK , LEXAR , ect... and Stay away From Wish ( atleast for SD cards ) other then that you should Be doing Great !!!!
