I was looking for something smaller than my shop vac to use on the cars, but I didn't want to pay almost $100. I came across this Vacmaster 2.5 gal unit on sale from Lowe's for $20.97. I drove in a got one this morning with a 15% discount, so it cost under $20, even with the tax.

I just used it in my car, and it works fine. It's so small that I can bring it right into the car, if necessary.

According to the link you posted the vac is $33.17, over $12.00 more than what you said. And that's down from $34.98 until August 27.

And this post of yours would lead me to believe it is 12 volt and can be plugged into you car's power port but it's not - 120 volt corded.

I guess I'm just being picky.

Apparently, Lowe's prices vary across the country. Someone from CA said his Lowe's was charging $35 for that vac. I can bring it into my car because it's so small and light. And it's not painfully loud.

Thought I would check this out as it would be handy. Listed for $20.97 in Parkersburg, WV where I live but not available online or in store. Checked Marietta, OH (5 miles away) and it's available in the store for 33.17 but not online. The games stores play.....

I have four vacuums.
One is a shop vac, which I bought about 3 years ago.
One is a small hand held battery thing that I got about 10 years ago.
One is an upright Kirby which I bought about 1978.
One is an Electrolux canister vacuum which I bought in 1966.

They all work. They all get used. I can get parts for all of them as needed.
I DO NOT need another vacuum to fill up the house.

Jerry:
Just went to Loews in Bastrop, tx. Showed them the picture of your vacmaster vacuum. Said they were discontinued & they didn’t have any more of that model. I said a friend in NY just bought one. Salesman said just a minute, came back with a Vacmaster Professional 3.5 gal & sold it to me for $21.65 w/tax. Because I told him about yours. Not trying to one-up you on product, but wanted to tell you thanks for bringing your purchase up on the forum. If anyone out there wants one, maybe they should take a pic of yours on their phone & ck their Lowe’s.

I got mine from amazon.
It's appears to be a generic product.
Mine is a different name and is red in color.

Did someone ask you to get another vac?

I got an upgraded version for 21.65. Maybe ck other Lowe’s stores.
Re-read Jerry’s post & don’t see anything he said to indicate it was 12volt.
