I have learned a lot of things on this website, and I hope to learn much more, what I think would help people like myself would be for an experienced person on this site to give an new class possible daily depending on subject matter or weekly depending on subject matter, on all aspects of photography, set it up and teach us all about what it takes to become a good photographer and even maybe a series about the different subjects we have to learn to be successful.? Possibly very basic at beginning and then progressing to more difficult area as we go thru these courses, and have question and answer sessions at end of class to see if it was working, I’m aware there are other places to learn about this but we don’t know anything about them, but we know and trust hogs!! I talking about free or very low cost classes, and have experienced volunteers to take this program up and let’s see where it goes, thanks, topkat
There are several photo clubs in your area - I would think you would learn much more there than with lessons on this site. While there are many excellent photographers here, at a club you could choose topics to discuss as well as be able to ask any questions you might have. Also you can show your work and ask for improvement suggestions first hand.
You make a great point, I guess since covid I just have not got up off my butt and did the things I need to do, just now got started back going to the fitness center and am pretty lazy,?plus it’s easy to sit here in my easy chair and rear all the things you guys share,😁

Save the following website on your computer and your phone. This is a free website that is a veritable university for all things photography. When you go there, tap the 3 bars in the upper right corner, then tap "concepts and terminology." Proceed down the list at a pace that is comfortable for you, but don't let your excitement deceive you into thinking you'll cover everything in just a few days.
https://www.cambridgeincolour.com/The other thing to do is go to this website and search for photography clubs near you. Type in your zip code as well as "photography." Read the description of each club to find one that appeals most to you. Some of them may be free, some may have a fee. The one I like near me costs $20 per year.

That is a very big ask for a bunch of people that share their expertise freely and on a regular basis. There are paid courses on line, and tons of free material as well.
It does sound like your needs may best be served by joining PPA:

They have a very comprehensive, self-paced series of learning tutorials on all aspects of the profession, and include lots of benefits, events, etc. However, there are many on this site who's heads explode at the mere mention of paying $10/mo for exceptionally comprehensive and well-written software - how do you image they'd react to the notion of paying $27.92/mo or $335.04 per year for membership in a professional organization. I doubt it would fly. BTW, PPA is probably the best value out there, given what you are asking for, and far more comprehensive than a photo club.

Thank you for the link to ‘Cambridge In Color’..
As suggested look at the clubs in the aria and pick one that mentors and join. Also keep shooting and be critical of your self.

Go to YouTube search your subject matter and you will get plenty of tutorials.
My advice:
Camera club, study, practice until your blue in the face, edit edit edit, join KelbyOne. Com, watch photoshop cafe , practice, practice. I am 84, been shooting 50 years and still follow my advice. There is no one path but your own. Good luck.
YouTube is free to you, exhaust all your free options before paying for anything. As Gene notes, if you want professional quality help / coaching, you should expect to pay for it. Those utube authors are 'paid' by the advertising so it can be free to you. Anyone attempting your idea here on UHH for dedicated coaching sessions will generate money to UHH (advertising), but nothing to the author of such tutorials. Kind of the worst of all models ...

Amen! I recently retired to an "old folks home." Well that's what some people call it, but it is far from that. There is a photo club on site with a couple dozen members, many very skilled. We used to meet monthly in a large activity room. Each member brought some of their work on a thumb drive to display on a TV in the room. Then the photos went to a Social Lounge where a slideshow of our work is continuously displayed on a TV on the wall so all the residents can enjoy them. When Covid hit members began sharing their photos in a Zoom meeting. But I digress... I can't tell you how valuable the club members have been in enabling me to become a better photographer.

Are there several photo/camera clubs in Greensboro? I lived there for several years and the nearest club at that time was in Winston-Salem. There was talk of starting one in Kernersville. But that was still a 30 minute drive. I was very pleased to find three in the Myrtle Beach area when we first moved here. One was only about 10 minutes away and very active. One was in N. Myrtle Beach and one a little farther south that was also very active.
If you now have ‘several’ to choose from, that is great news.
I'm with several other responders: local clubs are a great way to learn. I joined a very active club 2 years ago and have learned more in the past 2 years than I had in the past 30 yrs.
