We have been in a tropical weather pattern for most of June and July which has resulted in some flooding. This type of flooding is not particularly damaging but is certainly inconvenient for a few days. One of the benefits is a reduction in the gopher and mole populations; however we are plagued with mosquitoes after the rain. Also, some plants benefit from the rain while others such as avocado and papaya cannot tolerate the extreme wet soil conditions following the rain. Also, the June rains proved to be too much for my wife's garden plants. As it turns out, we should have been growing rice instead of tomatoes. Nevertheless, it creates some interesting photo opportunities. Thanks, for looking.
P.S. I believe it was UTMike who said he was envious of our rain.
I’m sorry for the flooding and my prayers.
We need the rain out west, but preferably not in the amounts you have been getting. My sister and brother in law just moved from Oregon to Shiner and said they were getting the same amounts there. Stay safe.
Nice set, Dan. Way too much rain here, too.

Excellent, eye-catching compositions, but the cows crossing the road so nonchalantly says it all...
I spoke to my farmer in Illinois who reports a LOT of rain also.
Nice set. There is such a thing as too much water
Excellent set, Dan! I still would like some of that wonderful stuff.
I grew up in a flood plain area in Wayne , NJ. Don't miss it at all. Stay safe & sorry about your tomatoes.

I did enjoy your pictures, Dan, each and everyone one of them, too bad it’s unfortunate that you have not only beautiful part of the event. Hope, the negative side will disappear fairly soon.
