Nicks & I like to avoid the local traffic by walking the transmission line. Plenty of room & pooper scooping free.
Nicks was pleasantly surprised to find that the power company folks, good community stewards that they are, had installed a conveniently located canine comfort station.

These are really pretty with all the yellow wildflowers. Nicks looks pretty pleased with the accommodations.

Flower fragrance helps with odor control.

He is on a leash but he minds very well so I can lay it down if I choose. If it weren’t for all the deer around, I’d let him go. My daughter would not be pleased if I lost HER dog!

I feel I am right there with you. Thanks for sharing your walk. When I went to Penn State there were some power lines running through the nearby national forest. They were great places to take the dog to let him run free - no other people, lots of room, and the dog could explore and sniff around as much as he pleased!

Thanks for stopping!
The reason I posted was is that I thought it quite comical that a hydrant would be located out in the middle of nowhere. I don’t expect much building or traffic next to the transmission towers & it would take about a 1/4 mile of hose to benefit any fire protection needs.
