When you travel north far enough, you notice the difference in the quality of the light. This is often commented upon by travelers to Paris, but it is also true in Downeast Maine (that part of coastal Maine beyond Acadia - where few tourists wander). The golden hours are especially beautiful. The first two photos are taken in the backyard of the home we are staying in, and the dingy photo is taken about 30 yards away. These images are not edited - they are straight out of the iPhone.
Note that we are near the entrance to the Bay of Fundy. The tides here can vary by 15 feet or more. This creates swift currents coming into and going out of this bay. You have to know what you are doing to operate a boat in these icy cold waters!

Beautiful images, sb.... Reminds of my stay in Lubec, ME. I loved it there.
Very nice. Peaceful scenes and nice light.
Love these pictures and the location. Maine is on my list of desired locations to visit.
