I occasionally send myself email reminders from my Kindle. I recently replaced a broken Kindle with an new one, and I haven't turned off autocorrect yet. Checking my email on the computer this morning, I saw these two reminders: So get packaging easy for windshield; Kitty litter in sick on cash to recent fogging. Ain't technology great?

I'm not the only one with this problem.

What's that now?

When I'm typing a quick note myself, I seldom proofread. If I notice something weird happening, I'll go back and correct it.

And when you don’t, you get the results indicated in your post.
If it’s worth writing, it’s worth proofreading.

I once heard a man say, "auto-correct is my worst enema".

We had an engineering manager named Diptish Data (a good Irish name). In an email to him, my spellchecker dutifully changed the salutation to “Hello Dipshit”. He thought it was funny, I was embarrassed.

This is the type of mistake that Dragon Naturally Speaking makes. Easily overlooked in quick look.

"John Matthew--retired teacher"!!
English teachers will always say, "proofread"!
Mathematics' teachers will always say, "check"!
We are both PIA's!
