The folks at this place are awesome folks. Very nice people. They saved the nicest shaped pumpkin they had for me. Janny and her were talking. Janny saw that she had one of the crafts that Janny did a long time ago. You can see it in the picture of them standing together. It is the pumpkin hanging around her neck. What are the odds!:):)

That was very nice of the lady. You know, I have come across this type of person more often than not. This is a good thing.

Seems like the farther you get away from the city, the nicer the folks are. And more down to earth too.:) More of a working type person. And the funny thing, no bars around at all.:)
But these folks are the nicest we have run across in awhile. I have invited them to the house after Halloween for a fire and sitting around and BSing.:)

Hi Albert
I shoot a Nikon D300s with my 28-300 on it. and yes right out of the camera with just a little contrast added in post. I have played with the settings in the camera so it comes really close to what I see. I guess you could say I do the PP in the camera.:) I don't know how to do much in Aperture. That is the only software I have right now. I also have added a little sharping in the camera for this lens but not a lot. I think +2 or 3. But it took me about 1 1/2 years to get it the way I wanted it.:) I am an old film dog. Hard to teach new tricks.:) But I am loving digital now. So far every year looks better than the last.:) do you save all your old shots. It is fun to go back and look at a few. I save a file for every year I have had this camera. I get a kick out of what I thought was pretty good now. And yes I am still doing that. I pick what I think is my best 20 pictures and put them in a file for that year. In my mind I have come a long way.:)

Looks like a fun time and a nice place to visit. We don't even have one around here. Good photos, Erv!

Those are sharp and colorful images. You mentioned "the people" being nice. People from smaller communities MUST interact at a different level. This was the key to survival not to long ago and in some smaller and remote communities this still applies.
