Rambling....
A few from our 7500 mi road trip out west in May/June....Here is the Dinosaur National Monument, a true jewel of a park that encompasses parts of both NE Utah and NW Colorado. Park HQ are in located Utah and its definitely a stop if you're in the area. The 9-mile road trail from park HQ's is a must and there are numerous hiking trails and beautiful vistas. In Colorado, the 26 Mile loop runs north out of Dinosaur, CO along the CO/UT border and is a day trip. The trail at the end of the loop is a must, ~2 miles round trip (300' elevation down and back) on a narrow hog back leading out to some absolutely awesome vistas of both CO & UT plus the wonderful Green River. Rafting is a big activity on this part of the river.
Then on to Montrose CO and a few from the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. We arrived early in the morning and no reservations were needed. Early morning and heavy haze/humidity made for beautiful sights. We arrived around 0800 and when we left the park about 1200, the back up to get in was about 2 miles. Unfortunately the south road in the park was closed for repair and would be for quite some time. Also river excursions down the Gunnison were also closed for much of this season due to construction. All photos taken from overlooks along the road.
Now off to the UP of Michigan in 3 weeks, maybe Canada????..."On the Road Again" Cheers

Thank you LS, that photo was taken on a trail where there was literally a vertical drop of about 200' until you hit the first tree on your way down...
It was an absolutely beautiful area to view both UT & CO vistas plus the fabulous Green River
Wonderful set! The Dinosaur Monument area is one of my wife's favorites and, in years past, we loved driving up the Black Canyon.
