Your Grand Dad's Jaguar.
When you think of Jaguar this doesn't come to mind!
I think the E type would be in the top 10 greatest car designs of all time.
Nice shots.

I agree. I'm old enough to have seen them on the street.
Nice photos. I was there but haven't done anything with my photos yet. I did shoot a lot of that Jaguar. Nice day, but I was disappointed with the turnout of our Sunbeams, only 3, usually we have 5 or 6.
Great cars & photos. I always craved an XK 130, and I'm old enough to have seen them on the street!

I and many other car enthusiasts would agree!

Real beauties!! I have a 1989 Jag XJS V12 coupe that is my EDD, still runs great!!
Beautiful - both of them. The E-Type started out beautiful, but styling changes didn't improve the appearance.
Nice pictures. The first ones appear to be a Mk V Jag. Would love to see the Sunbeam pictures, especially if they are Tigers. Carroll Shelby thought the Tiger was better than the Cobra. Too bad that Chrysler didn't have an engine for it after they bought Rootes and couldn't use the Ford engine.
Nice shots of all the Jags. I worked on a few in my day and greeted the first of the V12's in the dealership I worked at as well. Oldest one was an XK120 for me.

One day in 1961 when I was 13 I was walking to the store with a friend when a newly released E-jag came gliding by. Our mouths dropped and I said, "someday I'm going to have one of those.
14 years later I bought a '67 Type 1 coupe in silver blue and absolutely loved driving it. I agree with your assessment of the changes they made, especially when they came out with the 2+2 (back seat).
They raised the roofline for rear headroom and I always thought it looked like a duck.
Supposedly Enzo Ferrari called the E-type the most beautiful car ever made.
