I go to the Goleta slough almost every day. There are interesting birds most of the time and it’s a short 8 miles from my home. This grouchy snowy egret has been terrorizing the other snowies almost every day and today he even went after a juvenile black crowned night heron! He does make me laugh, and the other birds flee when they see him approaching. He’s quite the terror. The adult yellow crowned night heron seems to be saying “don’t mess with me!”. I liked the reflections in this set today. Enjoy the slough!

Idaho is hotter than Goleta by far, up in the 90's. The good news is I am getting some much needed work done on my house, watching potatoes grow in my yard, visiting with friends and so on. Life is good.
