Good to be getting down to the beach in some sunshine - and the dogs think so too. To ensure I got some action the ISO is high at 1000 despite the bright day and allowed me 1/1250 shutter speed at f8, all manual choices. Any critique is welcome, I like to hear what you think.

Good shot
I'm thinking f11 would have been a little better colors.

You could be right, although I felt dropping the exposure in Lr spoilt the ‘bright’ feel of the image. Thanks for your comments, they’re appreciated.

The low angle and the spare composition (no unnecessary or distracting elements) make this a winner for me. A joyous moment in time captured expertly.

Ah, well, I did have to remove a bright white boat that was piercing Lucy’s head Linda! Thanks for commenting, you have a happy knack of finding the nail’s head!

I think you nailed it. Great composition. All the presetting-up for a shot like this never survives the first shot.
A wonderful picture.

I agree with What everyone else said. My only nit pic is the dog to the left. I would have liked to see all of him and not so close to the edge. Of course you would need for your dogs to cooperate and follow your directions.

That’s out then Frank! Cooperation is not within their vocabulary when they get into water.
