Shot in jpeg, processed with Snapseed. Not sure if it belongs here but I’d like to be part of what Carol and Linda are doing.

I like your composition. The color seems a little strong. I bet this would make an outstanding Black & White.
Thanks for joining us in our little corner of the UHH. Looking forward to more of your images. 👍

Thank you, Jim. I like vivid colors and have my cameras set that way. A flaw, I’m sure, but one I enjoy. Probably comes from all my years as an Elvis fan. 😀

I understand. Thats why we have all these post production software packages. Everyone's likes are different.

I do appreciate your tip. It will be on my mind the next time I’m processing and I’ll experiment with toning it down a bit.

It looks more like the entire root system. A great find and I like how you compose this shot. I agree with Jim in that it in all likelihood would make for a very nice b/w also.

Hi Jim, is this any better or does it need more in your opinion?

Yes this is better IMO but as you mentioned you're moving away from the stronger colors you like so maybe not better if you want to make a print for yourself.

I bought my first 35mm camera in 1965 to take family pictures and am still happily doing it. I share all my other photography with family and always get rave reviews - surprise! I’m not looking to change my style now but I have respect for the people I know in this group and am open to listening and trying the things they suggest.

Thanks again for your suggestions, Jim.
