Sony A100 camera at ISO 200, with 50-mm lens, 1/160-sec at f/1.7.

Your focus looks tack sharp. The enlargement reveals just how narrow is your DoF at f/1.7. A higher ISO, or more light on your subject is needed to decrease your aperture, to increase your DoF.

Thanks, you can't go by f stop on a manual focus lens, the lens is a manual focus Minolta MD 50mm 1.7 but reversed on m42 mount extension tubes @ f16 The camera will not read the f stop.

this is a old camera with a higher ISO will have lots of noise. even with N/R on. you can reduce some of the noise with software but then it wouldn't be tack sharp like I like it.

Would love to have more light, but shot in the shade on a cloudy day thought it did just fine. And again I don't care for the crop.

ALL of the information i know about your image was recorded in your Exif, via communication between your camera and lens. That is impossible with a reverse-mounted lens. The evidence says your camera recorded lens information.
