Hi all, I have a chance to buy this lenses. I know it’s an older lenses but for a lil more reach I feel it may be worth it. I don’t know much about Sigma. I read some reviews and they look ok to me. The owner says it is in very good condition and not used very much. I will be taking a look and taking a few pictures with it tomorrow and I am just wondering if anyone has had some experience with this lenses. If so opinion’s welcome. BTY I am on a limited income, hence buying used is what I can afford. Thanks in advance. Joe W.

Focal length(s)?
Most Sigma lenses currently made are all of excellent quality if not damaged by previous user.
Oops, missed that. 120-400.
Thanks

This is an old review, tested with 10mp crop camera and 12 mp full frame, and only to 250mm on the full frame camera. It's hard to draw a conclusion from the review, especially with today's 20+ mp cameras. This review is a little more current, and shows it to be barely mediocre, rating it at 2-2.5 out of 5.

I used the Sigma 150-500mm for many years until I sold it and bought the Sigma 60-600mm lens. I took some really good photos with that lens.
Thanks to all that replied, appreciated.

I use so called poor lenses on higher mp camera and they are just fine.
Today really hard to find a bad lens in the last 30 years.
Only pixel peeping will show a difference.
I have four sigma lenses. And they all work great. It sounds to my that you might be wise to make this pruchase.
