Nikon 105mm F2.8 S lens for Z cameras

I recently purchased this lens from B&H and when I attach it to either my Z6 II or Z7 II and go to the custom control menu in either camera the aperture ring displays for customization, but the L-Fn button does not show for customization. So far I have not got an answer from B&H, Nikon or some others on utube that did a review. Has any one else purchased this lens and can answer this question?

I have this lens with the Z7II. You are to use the Custom Setting Menu (the pencil), go to f2 and you'll see L-fn. If I am reading you correctly, it appears that you have done this. What exactly do you mean by "does not show for customization"? Is it grayed out or what is the problem in more detail?

Seems the system offers a quick set up for the ring but not the button. Unsure why, but there’s nothing especially odd about it. The minds of UI designers are beyond human understanding.

Are you saying that you have found the adjustment as I indicated above and have been able to set it to your liking? Yes or no.

I believe most don't own the product or use/try them in every real world use case scenario! = go figure!!!

...that would be an interesting survey. But I'm betting most of these engineers/designers at least *dabble* in photography. <shrug> Of course, we don't really know, but a sure thing is they no doubt have the equipment on their benches and do a LOT of fiddling!

Fiddling with the product on the bench might help with making sure the buttons are reachable while holding a camera by its grip ... stuff like that.

Here’s an example of a UI issue that never occurs to these designers. Push the MF magnifier button and fine focus your image. Now touch the shutter release to make the exposure. Does the magnifier turn off so you can check final framing ? Or must you press a button again to restore the full view ? Can you elect either protocol via menu choice, or must you forever lock in your preferred protocol by choosing Sony vs Nikon ?

That was just one example. Another is the BBF set up arrangement on Olympus cameras. No other maker fuggzittup like Olympus (terrific cameras otherwise).
