Spent most of last week at three different monasteries. Monastery is derived from the word 'monos' alone. Alone is how I prefer to shoot. Can't imagine going on a photo walk as a part of a group. Even when with another photographer, we split up and agree to meet at a predetermined spot in two or three hours.

Beautiful images! The second one is an especially effective black and white study. I tend to feel the same way about company when I shoot. I feel like I'd be distracted or would feel self conscious. However, since I have a lot to learn, I probably need to keep an open mind about group photo walks!

Thanks. The black and white was an easy choice. The wood on the shelf is a hideous shade of, well, not sure. Photographs horribly.

Thanks for the feedback. I send photos to a classmate from 50 years ago. He is the one who got me started on photography. Good critic with many excellent suggestions for improvement. Way back when, when we lived closer, we periodically went to Longwood Gardens . . . and split.

Thank you. Bit of processing with Capture One, a rather old version.

Beautiful images, especially the B&W!

I too prefer to go out alone when ready to make some photographs. I am self conscious about taking my time and studying or working an opportunity when someone else is with me.
