Isn’t it only a wire to charge in camera?

Nikon has a charger that was, I believe, introduced with the Z7.

https://www.nikonusa.com/en/nikon-products/product/power-adapters/eh-7p-charging-ac-adapter.html

I thought it was silly when introduced because it was not backwards compatible with older batteries. It is no longer provided.

The EH-7P cannot be used to charge an EN-EL15 or EN-EL15a Li-ion battery. Those batteries must use the MH-25a battery charger.

The MH-25a battery charger is still included.

Or you can charge the battery all day long with the AC charger, which will still be included.

Ahhhh.

TWO chargers used to be included.
Many will not know that based on the words in the original post. Especially non-Nikon users.
Many will think NO charger is included. IE. purchased separately???

Inferences based on limited information provided........

Well, this certainly hampers my ability to achieve the level of photographer I dreamed of becoming. How am I supposed to work with a camera I can charge? That'd be like shooting with my view camera without being able to put film in the holders.

IF I understood correctly, the USB connection will charge the battery.

Just another UHH storm in a teapot.

THE END OF THE WORLD IS COMING!!!!

I thought if you were in the market for a new mirrorless this might be part of your decision. Isn't the first time for Nikon and probably won't be the last

Next it won't be a camera in the box either ...

First they took the mirrors but I said nothing cuz I don’t care about mirrors.

Then they eliminated the shutters but I said nothing cuz I’m not a shutter user.

Next they came for the aperture rings, but I didn’t care cuz I got mine.

Then they came for the hot shoes but I said nothing ......

When you post a headline alone and leave out pertinent information you are not doing anyone a favor. You could have copied and pasted this from the article.
The omission of the EH-7P charger, which enables in-camera battery charging via the cameras' USB-C ports, will go in effect tomorrow, July 1. This change will not affect the MH-25A charger, which will still be included with Z7 and Z7 II purchases.

Or just posted a link in the Links and Resources section.
But then people wouldn't be getting irritated.

You forgot they started with the manual, not that anyone ever reads it ...

When did they take your manuals? I got printed manuals with the D4s, D7200, D500, D850, Z6 and Z50.

Maybe you are just thinking Canon.

The Z6 printed manual that comes with it is a summary user manual. You have to download the real manuals. They are much easier to use because of the search function.

I do have all the manuals and reference material downloaded and accessible with the Nikon Manual Viewer. The Z50 Reference Manual was the last one I downloaded. Since then Nikon discontinued the viewer which is a shame. All available manuals could be downloaded through and accessed through the viewer, all in one place. I didn't lose what I had which is good. I guess it was one of their cost cutting measures.

I always read the manuals from beginning to end. These days I read the manuals before buying the camera but then it results in the manuals that came with the camera still in the shrink wrap.

There have been a couple of posts over the past week in which several contributors have exposed a gaping void of fundamental personal ethics. This post has surfaced a raging underlying meanness. The combination calls into question the fundamental decency of the forum. What has been displayed is fundamentally malicious, and it goes far beyond any reasonable attempt at humor or even sarcasm.

I will be retiring from participation here and would encourage others who have been similarly outraged to do so as well. A sincere thank you to those who have been good and cordial friends over the past four years.
