Hi Joe. I get a similar kind of feeling with this. It was really slim pickings here for ice last winter. Just the smallest amount of water to freeze, but it still manages to produce some nice textures and depth in the patterns. I appreciate your contribution.

Good of you to chime in Joe. I had never thought to characterize this sort of composition as a still life. It got me thinking though. I'm not sure how to categorize these. Natural creations have long been a focused interest of mine, and I see my role as rooting out and documenting these fleeting phenomenon. Framing in such a way as to satisfy my sense of composition in an abstract context. Nature does a lot of things that go largely unnoticed.
